A faithful Christian presence

at the heart of our beautiful village

Welcome to the Church of St. John the Baptist, Mount Bures - a friendly and welcoming community of people meeting in our beautiful Grade 1-listed Church building, which has been serving Mount Bures since the 12th Century.

Whether you're visiting us to find out about service times, Weddings, Christenings, what we believe or how to visit us in person, we hope you discover all you need.

We look forward to meeting you, and may the Lord bless you as you search.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.  She died peacefully at Balmoral on Thursday 8th September. The UK's longest reigning monarch, was aged 96 and reigned for 70 years.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family and The King.
"Gracious God, we give thanks for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth, for her faith and her dedication to duty. Bless our nation as we mourn her death, and may her example continue to inspire us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen."

Much of the Benefice is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in a Conservation Area.
