For over 800 years, the lovely people of Mount Bures have extended hospitality to one another and to visitors. But our beautiful Church building couldn't say the same. We have longed to be welcoming, offering refreshment and relief to all who visit us - and from July 2019 we now can! There is now a fully-accessible toilet in the Church, and a servery which enables us to offer tea, coffee and more at our services and events.

We are part of a very supporting community, who have been right with us all the way through the long planning process, and we are indebted to the many people who have given of their time, money and expertise to make sure that the project would happen.

Very importantly, we wish to record our immense gratitude to the organisations shown above for the grant funding they have so generously provided. To read more about them, click on the images above.

The internal and external works received the approval and support of all interested bodies, and we think that our Architect David Whymark Architecture and Conservation and main Contractor John W Younger Ltd have done a sterling job for us! You can see for yourself by visiting us - the Church is open every day of the year - and here's a photographic record of our interesting project!
